Francois Griffith (MSc, EnCE, CISM) – Membership Director
Francois R. Griffith is the Managing Director of SIFT Inc. – the first company in Barbados primarily offering services in Computer Forensics and Information Security – and is a practicing Computer Forensic Examiner and an Information Security Consultant from the island of Barbados. Francois is also a Board Member of the Information Systems Security Association(ISSA), Barbados Chapter.
After completing his Master’s Degree in Information Security and Computer Forensics in 2008, Francois became the first person in the Eastern Caribbean to achieve the EnCE (Encase Certified Examiner) Certification. This coveted qualification is recognized by both the law enforcement and corporate communities across the globe as a symbol of
in-depth computer forensics knowledge. Francois also earned the distinction of being a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) which is the globally accepted standard of achievement for Information Security Management Professionals.
Francois has provided Information Security Consulting and Computer Forensic Services to organizations both locally and regionally spawning all sectors of business including but not limited to; Law Enforcement Agencies, Government Departments, Law Firms, Financial Institutions, Hotels, Healthcare Providers, and international Organisations. He
has been appointed by the High Court of Barbados as an independent computer forensic expert and has provided expert witness testimony in serious administrative hearings. Francois has also carried out major forensic duties as the local arm of international Forensic Investigations under commission from overseas entities.
Now a part-time lecturer at the University of The West Indies, Francois acknowledges the opportunities his country has provided for him, and is dedicated to giving back by raising awareness, to the disciplines of Information Security and Computer Forensics across the region.
Charles Walton, CISSP, CISA, ABCP – Past President
Charles is a twenty year information technology veteran. For most of this time he has been involved in IT in the tourism and hospitality sector as a manager and a support specialist. He has also been involved in the implementation and support of Time and Attendance to networks solutions for a range of other clientele.
He is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), and an Associate Business Continuity Professional (ABCP).Mr. Charles Walton,
Jason Downey, CISSP – Treasurer
Jason started his IT career over 20 years ago in the trenches as a Tech Support rep for Cable & Wireless, moving up to Systems Administrator in the Internet department. He then moved on to Massy Group, a Caribbean conglomerate, where he progressed through the ranks from IT Specialist to IT Supervisor to Group Information Systems Security Manager.
He holds several IT Security certifications including Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI), along with other certifications from Microsoft, Adobe, Citrix and CompTIA. He also possesses a Diploma in Management Studies from The Barbados Institute of Management and Productivity (BIMAP).
