Board Member Bios

David Gittens, CISSP CISA CISM CRISC HISP – President

 

David Gittens is an Information Security Specialist with twenty-one years of combined experience in Information Security, Project Management, Information Systems, and Business Management. He is the founding president of the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA), Barbados Chapter, which was the first in the English-speaking Caribbean. Currently he works as an internal security consultant for an international commercial bank.

 

David is the holder of several international information security designations, including Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), Certified in Risk & Information Systems Control (CRISC), and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA). He has sat on various boards and committees dealing with Information Security, Fraud and IT.

 

David received his BSc (Honours) in Electronic & Electrical Engineering from Loughborough University of Technology in the UK. He received his Masters in Information Systems Management from the University of Liverpool in the UK.

 

Mr Gittens holds several information security professional designations from various international organizations, including CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor), CRISC (Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) and HISP (Holistic Information Security Professional). He sits on the boards of the HISPI (Holistic Information Security Practitioner Institute) and ISSA (Information Systems Security Association) Barbados, of which he is the founding president. He provides volunteer services for ISC2 (International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium) as well as local organisations in the areas of IT and security. David holds a Bachelors degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from Loughborough University of Technology in the United Kingdom.

Dwight Robinson Secretary

 

Dwight Robinson is an Information Security & Data Governance Auditor with ten years of experience in the review of Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR), documentation and testing of Internal Controls related to key business processes & financial reporting. He has championed financial data analysis using innovative analysis tools including the production of Fraudulent Financial Reporting (FFR) documents. He has also worked on client engagements from a range of industries, sectors and locations within the Caribbean region.

 

Dwight is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and holds a Bachelor in Business Information Systems from Pace University in New York. He is currently pursuing a Mastering in Cybersecurity at Bellevue University in Nebraska.
